After a busy 2017 of weddings all over Cambridgeshire and the UK, I thought it was about time that I reflect and collate some of my favourite wedding images. Last year was a such great year for my wedding photography and I visited so many different locations in Cambridgeshire, plus I also travelled to Norfolk, Suffolk, Oxford and London.
I feel so privileged to been involved with over 25 wedding shoots. It was amazing to meet all of the different brides and grooms; to help tell the story of their wedding day. I want to say a HUGE thank you to all of the couples who allowed me to capture their special day. So many beautiful weddings filled with joyful moments!
I also had an award winning photography year as I managed to win two Wedisson awards. It was so exciting to see my work included in this international wedding photography awards website!
I really enjoyed capturing three weddings at The Old Hall in Ely, which is a really lovely venue which is not far from where I live. It was also lovely to work in a few of the Cambridge University colleges, including Gonville & Caius, Jesus College, Trinity Hall and Selwyn College. I loved using all of the beautiful architecture in the photos. Jesus College was a real highlight, I loved the golden interiors of the main hall. I also captured a wedding story at the famous Cambridge Union. It was also amazing to take a trip to Childerley Hall. The gardens at Childerley were amazing and especially suited my photography style where I embrace lots of colour. Other venues included South Farm, Barrington Hall and Anstey Hall which were also stunning! I’m really excited to be visiting some of these places again in 2018!
I particularly enjoyed travelling to Norfolk, Suffolk and Oxford for some beautiful farm weddings. I find it exciting to capture weddings with a more rural back drop as the locations are often so ideal for glorious sunsets! Farm weddings are so much fun, with such a relaxed atmosphere, lots of hay bales, and garden games.
This is a collection of my favourite wedding images from 2017. I have chosen images which really reflect my photography style, which is natural relaxed, colourful and romantic. I love to capture the different chapters of day with a documentary style. I also really like to carry out creative portraits using sunset light or light that I bring along. These pictures make lovely finishing images for wedding albums. I really hope you enjoy looking through my work and if you are getting married in the next year or so, I’d love to hear from you!
