Cambridge University Wedding Photographer
Jane and Rin’s Cambridge Wedding at Trinity Hall College
I have worked in quite a few of the different Cambridge colleges and now find myself regularly being asked to be a Cambridge University Wedding Photographer. As a result of having lived in the Cambridge area for over 10 years, I have always admired the Cambridge University Colleges. This was my first shoot at Trinity Hall and it was in the Summer of 2017. I had visited Trinity Hall College before because of a personal event. Therefore, I was so excited to be back there again to capture this beautiful wedding day. I was so happy to be a Trinity Hall Cambridge University Photographer. Furthermore I was so looking forward to be able to explore the gardens and see inside the chapel.
How I met the couple.
First if all, prior to their wedding, I met Jane and Rin for their engagement shoot which was lots fun. This shoot helped them get used to being photographed in preparation of the wedding day. Also it was an excellent opportunity to get know them a better. Above all, they wanted natural and relaxed photos of their wedding day from ceremony to just after the speeches. They really wanted lots of photos of the main events of the day and images of people having fun.
On the wedding day.
On the big day, the sun was shining and it was the perfect day for this wonderful summer wedding.  The wedding ceremony was held in the Trinity Hall Chapel. As a result of the lovely weather the beginning of the reception was held in the stunning gardens. You can see more about the Cambridge University Gardens on the college website. During the ceremony which held in the beautiful chapel and I enjoyed photographing the ceremony from the balcony. It was great being able to capture Rin’s expression as Jane walked down the aisle from high up on the balcony. Due to being near to the organ you can definitely hear the music loudly up there!
Documentary style
I captured the wedding day in my documentary style, however I always make time for some lovely portraits and this was the perfect setting. The guests has a lovely time exploring the gardens and wedding couple enjoyed all the attention from the people punting down the river Cam. Jane and Rin had lots of fun maybe because there were lots of people waving and smiling while from their boats or strolling along the river.
The second part of the reception was at the lovely Westminster college. It was only short walk along the Cambridge backs. All the guests played lots of garden games and ate delicious canapés in the glorious sunshine. The final part of the wedding coverage was to capture the wedding speeches which were were carried out in the college hall.
I’m so lucky to live in the Cambridge area, the architecture is stunning. I feel so privileged to capture weddings in many of the University Colleges. I think that this Trinity Hall College Cambridge wedding particularly beautiful. A lovely combination of glorious sunshine, beautiful surroundings and a lovely atmosphere. Furthermore, Jane and Rin were wonderful to photograph.
As I live near Cambridge I love being a Cambridge University Wedding photographer, it’s wonderful to see all the colleges by photographing weddings. Â I wish Jane and Rin all the best for the future and I’m so grateful they chose me to capture their beautiful day.
