I loved photographing Hannah and James’ beautiful scenic woodland and mountainside wedding in Scotland. The wonderful Cardney Steading wedding venue offered a unique blend of rustic charm, lush greenery, crisp mountain air, and an ethereal quality of the light. Even though I’m a seasoned wedding photographer, this was my first time capturing a wedding in the Scottish mountains. The picturesque setting with mountain views created an idyllic backdrop for the events of the day – including an atmospheric woodland ceremony and a lively reception in the converted barns. The day was a seamless blend of romance and nature, and I felt privileged to have encapsulated the spirit of the day to be relived forever.

“After admiring Lucy’s work at my brother’s wedding, we were delighted when Lucy agreed to make the long journey up to Scotland to photograph our wedding. She captured all of the many facets of our wedding superbly, ranging from our ceremony in an enchanted pine forest clearing, mingling on the lawn with our guests in front of the majestic Craigmore hill, the obligatory couple shots in amongst the stunning Scottish Highlands landscape, to roasting marshmallows on the evening firepit. Lucy was very easy to communicate with, putting us at ease in the lead up the big day, and most importantly, on the big day itself.
