Sarah and Max’s wedding day at Selwyn College Cambridge

It’s brilliant living in Cambridge as it’s wonderful to photograph weddings at the Cambridge University colleges.I really enjoyed the experience of being a Selwyn College Cambridge University Wedding Photographer. I had a great day photographing Sarah and Max’ s winter wedding at Selwyn College Cambridge.

As a result of living close to Cambridge, I have often wondered what it would be like to be a student at Cambridge university. Many famous people have graduated from this world class university. So it naturally follows that Selwyn College, Cambridge University has many famous Alumni including the famous comedian and actor Hugh Laurie.

Their Engagement shoot in London

I met Sarah and Max the previous month for their London engagement shoot. We visited Alexandria palace. It was great to chat with them both about their wedding preparations and also get to know them a little. Engagement shoots are a great way to practice being photographed.

On the wedding day at Selwyn College Cambridge

It was a cold day in early January 2017 at Selwyn College Cambridge.  As a result if wanted the photography to be quite relaxed, Sarah and Max has requested me to cover their wedding day from the start of ceremony until the early evening.The ceremony was very beautiful, and was held in the stunning college Chapel situated in The Old Court. The Old Court is Victorian and is tudor in style.

After the ceremony everyone ventured out to The Old Court and head straight for the reception inside in the main hall. It was a very cold day so we captured some portraits inside.  The guests had a lovely time mingling and drinking champagne in the warmth. The wedding breakfast was held in the very grand main hall which was lit with beautiful candles.

Then it was time for the wedding speeches and cutting of the cake. It was a lovely day and I’m so grateful to have been able to capture all the fun and happiness. I was so glad that they had chosen me as their Selwyn College Cambridge University Photographer. It was beautiful day.
